Meet Our Pastors

PASTOR RON:

Ron Seidel, Sr. is our Senior Pastor. He was born in Hollywood and raised in the San Fernando Valley. He served six years in the United States Air Force before attending college. He is a graduate of Los Angeles Pierce College, California State University, Northridge, Pepperdine University, Biola University, Talbot Theological Seminary and School of Theology, the Los Angeles Sheriff’s Academy and the Los Angeles Police Academy.

Our pastor has been married for 40 years to his wife, Kathy, and they have three children, two daughters and a son. They also enjoy six grandchildren. Pastor Ron has a diverse background, having worked as an insurance investigator and later as a Manhattan Beach Police Officer, Santa Monica Police Officer and as a Los Angeles Reserve Police Officer and Chaplain. God called him to the ministry and upon graduating with his Master of Divinity from Talbot Seminary, he began his journey at Granada Hills Community Church. He first served the church as an Intern Pastor, then as Associate Pastor and then in June of 1986 was called to be the Senior Pastor. He has a passion for the worship of God, God’s Word, Gods people and reaching those who do not know Jesus Christ as their Lord and Savior.

Ron has experienced the grace of God throughout these many years of ministry at Granada Hill Community Church and looks forward to what God has in store for the future. In addition to Ron’s  degree from Talbot, he also holds an A. A. Degree from Los Angeles Pierce College, a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science from C.S.U.N., a Master of Public Administration from Pepperdine University and has completed classes toward his Doctor of Ministry program from Trinity Theological Seminary in Newburgh, Indiana. Ron enjoys reading, traveling to Hawaii, working out and spending time with his lovely wife, Kathy, as well as his children and grandchildren.

PASTOR ENOCH:

Enoch Asmuth is our associate pastor. Enoch grew up in a Christian home in Central California in a town called Soquel. He has been actively leading worship in churches since he was 16 years old playing drums, piano, and singing. Volunteering in numerous ministries over the years has given him a well-rounded background in vocal, instrumental, theatrical, and technical arts.

Being employed full-time at Calvary Community Church (Westlake Village), The Church of Rocky Peak (Chatsworth), and Heart of the Canyons Church (Santa Clarita) has given him close to two decades of ministerial experience, working with Jr. high, high school, college, and adult ministries.

A music major in college, Enoch studied big band jazz arranging at Cabrillo College (Aptos), Bible and music at Bethany Bible College (Scotts Valley), and additional related studies at College of the Canyons (Santa Clarita).

He toured with Gospel choirs such as The Continental Singers and Orchestra for close to ten years and also performed with the Christian drama group The Jeremiah People. He has performed in numerous musical and drama productions, and also dawns credits for singing in studio sessions like A Bugs Life, Jungle Book 2, Mickey’s Twice Upon a Christmas and a host of other movies, T.V. series, and commercials. During his leisure time he toured Brazil with the Ray Conniff Singers for 7 years.

But as Enoch leads worship in the House of the Lord he says, “All these musical experiences pale in comparison to joining God’s people in singing His praises”.

Enoch was recently married to his lovely wife, Josephine, and they soon after had a baby girl named Joy.

Enoch currently ministers to the youth of Granada Hills through sound Biblical teaching and discussion, and innovative programs like the Skate/BMX Ministry. He also leads worship on Sunday mornings and certain Wednesday nights.
