We are excited to present the new summer schedule for kids/youth. Our church lovingly offers student Bible studies on Sunday mornings at 9:00am for Jr. High and High School and Kings Kids for Elementary ages at 10:30am. On Wednesday nights our Jr. High/High Schoolers enjoy group games and skateboarding while learning more about leading a Godly life through video and Bible studies.

This summer there are a number of events planned to brighten up any student’s mundane existence. On June 26-27 we plan on taking a whitewater rafting trip down the Kings River. If you check out the pictures we took last year you’ll see that we had a blast. Next, on July 11-15 we hope to provide a week long Bible club for kids with puppets, a jump house and free lunch. This is still in the works and may be announced shortly. And finally, on Aug. 8-11 Jr. High/High School ages plan on taking a trip to Catalina Island to play our version of a popular game show we call “Ultimate Survivor” where students receive rewards for their physical ability, mental toughness, and most importantly their knowledge of the Book of Proverbs. We hope they learn many valuable life lessons from this trip.

If you would like more info on these trips and other events such as Bowling, Magic Mountain trips, Water Wednesday, please email us at GHCC4U@earthlink.net or call Annette at 818-363-3767.

Hope to see you soon,

Pastor Enoch

Dear Friends:
We give thanks to God for you and your support for the persecuted church. Thank you for standing with our persecuted brothers and sisters who are helped through this vital ministry!

Each year, VOM selects a restricted or hostile nation for its Christmas Care program. This year, the project will help persecuted children and adults in India.

Known as one of the world’s largest democracies, India has seen some of the worst anti-Christian violence in its history in recent years. Thousands of Christians have lost their homes, churches have been burned and hundreds have been killed as radical Hindus try to stop the spread of Christianity throughout the country. But you can help those who remain faithful to Christ despite the violence.

You can bless an Indian Christian child with a Christmas Care Pack for only $25. Ten thousand packs (customized for different climates) will go to children living in areas of persecution. The packs will be filled with practical items, as well as books and Bible stories in Indian languages to encourage kids in their faith.

Each Christmas Care backpack has:
•Appropriate clothing and sandals
• Toiletries, including soap, toothpaste and a toothbrush
• School supplies, including a backpack, notebook, pencils and pens
• Food items, treats and vitamins
• Christian books, including a children’s Bible and coloring books

For just $75 you can also provide Indian evangelists and church leaders with a Village Outreach pack, which helps them spread the gospel in areas where Christians are persecuted. These Village Outreach Packs will go especially to pastors and evangelists from minority groups outside of large cities. These 3,000 packs will help recipients make an impact on those around them as they learn to preach sermons, teach others and study the Bible more effectively.

Each Village Outreach Pack includes:
• Plastic sheets for a makeshift baptism tank
• Outdoor gear — umbrella, flashlight and batteries
• Evangelism materials such as Bibles, copies of Extreme Devotion, tracts and a JESUS film VCD
• Essential household items, such as rice, cooking oil, lentils, soap, detergent, towel, etc.
• Needed clothing, such as shirts for the men, saris for the women, and sandals
• A shoulder bag to carry items
• A solar-powered MP3 player with gospel messages

To order ChristmasCare Packs or Village Outreach Packs, go to:

Thank you for your loving support for our persecuted brothers
and sisters.

Please pray for our persecuted family in India this Christmas season.

Sawubona!!! This is how “Hello” is said in Siswati, the native language spoken in Swaziland. Ngiyabonga is thank you. Jesu uyangitsanza lako means Jesus loves you.
I’d like to thank you for your generous support and your faithful prayers for me and the recent mission trip I took to Swaziland with Heart for Africa. God is our sovereign Abba who has exalted His name and His Word above all things. When the calling was sent, you answered and boldly stood up and provided for the need- to help provide for the Swazi orphans and widows affected by AIDS and its very many devastating complications. Thank you!!
Together with approximately 350 people from Canada, Taiwan and different states in our country, I was able to serve in a 3-day VBS as a children’s song leader; as a minister of the gospel thru house to house evangelism; as a teacher to women by sharing God’s faithfulness to me as a single mom; and as a stage hand/security staff during a culminating evangelistic rally for the kids of Swaziland on Litsemba (Hope) Day.
Thirty combi vans departed daily to the different regions all over Swaziland traveling as far as two hours one way to do these daily tasks. Some groups gardened and planted vegetables in the different village churches to help provide food for the many child-headed households trying to survive from their deprivation. God preceded, crumbling political walls that the enemy had set before ministry work started. God was there thru victorious battles over sickness, fear, anxiety, sadness, and unbelief during the entire work there. Prayer was at 0545 every morning. A concert of praise was celebrated nightly after dinner. Psalm 138 states though the Lord is on high, He looks upon the lowly. God fulfills His purpose for us. God’s love endures forever. God does not abandon the works of His hands. This promise was evident during the entire time I was there. God’s name was glorified as prayers were answered miraculously. The king of Swaziland declared Litsemba Day a national holiday, days before mission team arrivals. The king attended the evangelistic rally and after the gospel was presented, proclaimed a declaration to all the kids present in the stadium, “to stay with the Lord, Jesus Christ.” Our groups found favor from village leaders who graciously welcomed us to proclaim the gospel house to house and encouraged all villagers to attend church. I rejoiced as the kids I came to serve sang joyful songs of praise to the Lord in their native language. I heard of sick people getting healed thru the power of prayer. I found God-given treasures in me that had been hidden away… only to come out at such a time and a place as this. What I saw, heard, and experienced has changed my life forever.
As my group left the village, a medical mobile team arrived to follow-up on the people served in the different communities. Project Canaan, a 2500 acre piece of land in Swaziland, purchased by Heart for Africa thru charitable donations has cultivated a self-sustaining farm to help provide work for the unemployed in the country. It’s a place where rescued, orphaned vulnerable children from the villages are housed, fed, nurtured, and taught the Word of God. Seedlings from this farm are disseminated to the church gardens as crops are rotated seasonally. After the medical team leaves, another mission team follows-up. Pastors from the different village churches are provided with support by the Heart for Africa staff residing in Swaziland.
I am privileged to share that I have been afforded to go back to Swaziland this coming November to spend Thanksgiving with the people I was able to serve this summer. Thank you again for allowing the Lord to use you in His kingdom building project in Swaziland….. to strengthen what remains and is about to die (Rev. 3:2), to look after the orphans and the widows in their distress and to keep oneself from being polluted by the world (James 1:27). John 15:16-17 states, “You did not choose me, but I chose you to go and bear fruit- fruit that will last. Then the Father will give you whatever you ask in my name. This is my command: Love each other.”

In Christ always

Jo
