Family Ministries

Baby Dedication/Parent Commitment Celebration – A special time when parents come to thank God for the loan of a new life and pledge themselves to follow His leadership in the Christian rearing of their child.
Couples Retreat takes place usually the first weekend in November, at the Sea Crest Resort Motel in Pismo Beach. It is a romantic three days enjoying being with your spouse and learning new things to strengthen your marriage. The couples also play, pray, worship, and study together. A special guest speaker is brought in to teach on special topics.

Pre-Marital Counseling is provided by staff for those who are members or regular attendees of GHCC.
Crisis Prayer Team – A group of dedicated men and women along with our pastors join in immediate and weekly prayer for the needs of our members.

Children – From birth-6th grade, Our goal is to help the children discover Jesus in a personal way so they will grow up with His teachings that will last a life time. Children participate in a loving, nurturing, and age-appropriate environment while attending their special class. Our teaching endeavors to supplement the Christian nurture and training the child receives in the home environment.
Children’s classes are available during the Worship Celebration on Sunday. Children learn biblical principles through such creative methods as drama, music, video and audio instruction, puppets, crafts, teaching and discussions. Children also learn by observation and modeling; therefore, each classroom is staffed by qualified volunteers who are committed to the spiritual development of your child. Let our children’s ministry help you and your child discover the difference the love of Jesus can make.

Youth – Experience the youth of Granada Hills Community Church. Our Jr. and Sr. High School students meet for fun, music, videos and great messages on how to live a Christ-like life as instructed from God’s Word. We meet Wednesday evenings at 7:00 p.m. for Bible study, fellowship and activities. We have a full year packed with activities and service opportunities. Each activity is publicized in advance.

Women - Our purpose is to know God through the study of His word. Our desire is to grow to become more like Christ and live out His purpose for our lives. Our purpose is also to be an encouragement to one another, to love, support and help bear one another’s burdens and joys.
Bible Studies – The Wednesday evening study meets at the church from 7:00-8:30 p.m. The Thursday morning study meets at the church from 9:30-11:30 a.m.
Prayer Gathering – Thursdays from 6:30-8:00 p.m. in Stevenson Ranch.
Mentoring Program – Titus 2 instructs the older women to be teaching younger women in the church.
Women’s Special Events – Retreats and Conferences. Special events for our women in the spring or fall providing a refreshing time away for Bible study, encouragement, and fun!
